Kashayavasti is an Ayurvedic procedure than is stronger than snehavasti. It is indicated above all for unbalanced Vata Dosha. Oils, decoctions, and pastes are used, and are introduced into the anus through a special apparatus. The patient is kept under supervision throughout the entire Ayurvedic procedure. After complete evacuation of the intestines, a hot bath and special diet are indicated.

Snehavasti is an Ayurvedic procedure indicated in cases of unbalanced Vata Dosha. Oil mixed with different medicines, through a special apparatus (kashayabastiyantra) is introduced into the anal orifice. It is done immediately after lunch or dinner.
